Track And Monitor A Cell Phone

Track And Monitor A Cell Phone

Disadvantage of Using A Smart Phone

Cell phones and mobile devices are becoming more and more sophisticated. You can do virtually anything with the latest smart phones. Many of the functions that you would previously have required a home computer or laptop can now easily be completed via your mobile phone.

One downside of the advanced technology is that it is becoming easier and easier for cell phones and mobile devices to tracked and monitored.

There are now a large number of cell phone tracker apps available that are capable of monitoring virtually all of the activity from the target device.

The cell tracker app is simply loaded onto the target phone and activated. Some of the available cell tracker software packages require you to have access to the target phone but many of them allow the software to be loaded remotely.

Once the software is loaded onto the target phone traffic to and from the device can be monitored via a dashboard that is accessible via a second device such as a laptop or tablet. Once installed on the target phone it is virtually undetectable.

What kind of information is available to anyone monitoring your mobile phone?

The functions of different cell spy software packages vary but in general terms virtually all of the information that is sent from, or to, the device can be spied upon.

Practically all of the cell tracker apps include a GPS tracker. This enables the person who is monitoring the device to track the geographic position and movements of the device. This can usually be done in real time or alternatively the information can be recorded and stored for viewing at a later date.

All telephone calls made to and from the device can be listened to. Again this can be done as direct monitoring or the calls can be recorded and listened to any time in the future that the ‘eaves dropper’ wishes.

Emails and text messages to, and from, the phone can be monitored and recorded for reading at a later date.

Social media activity between the device and sites such as Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp can be monitored and recorded easily. Many of the apps are also able to access the phones contact list.

Some of cell trackers also have a facility that allows the microphone and camera on the target device to be activated remotely. The discreetly obtained sounds and pictures can then be viewed on the software dashboard.

Initially cell phone spyware was relatively expensive. The software was effectively used ‘on licence’ and the supplier would usually require a monthly payment for the use of the software. There are however a growing number of providers that offer cell phone tracker software for a relatively low one off payment. This has resulted in a growing number of people using this type of software.

Who would use Cell Tracker software?

The software is used fairly extensively by parents who want to be able to keep track of their children’s movements. Many parents are also concerned about which websites their children may be accessing. The majority of cell tracker apps are able to keep a log of the websites visited, the times the sites were visited and the duration of the visit. By reading emails and text messages that a child receives can alert a parent to the fact that their child is a victim of cyber bullying or is being targeted by individuals intent on preying on children.

The second most common use of cell tracker apps is by people who believe that their partners may be cheating on them. By tracking their cell phone it is relatively easy to discover if you are being lied to by a spouse or partner about where they have been or who they have been in contact with.

Some employers are now also using cell phone tracking devices to keep track of their employees whereabouts and contacts.

There is obviously a moral issue, and indeed a legal one, regarding the covert monitoring of another individuals phone. Anyone who is tempted to use this type of software should check out the legal position regarding its use before installing it.
