Genpro, Inc Creates Data Warehouse Using Stylus Studio™ And Xml Pipeline Server™ With Ivi Technologies Professional Services

Miami, FL - 18-February-2015 – IVI Technologies, the master distributor of Progress DataDirect Stylus Studio, the award-winning XML Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and XML Editor from Progress Software and the developer of XML Pipeline Server™, today announced the successful implementation of a complex transportation awareness data warehouse for Genpro, Inc. a leading provider of transportation intermediary service for a broad spectrum of the market with a specialization in the transportation of perishable goods.

The combination of IVI Technologies’ professional services, Stylus Studio Enterprise Edition Suite, and IVI Technologies - XML Pipeline Server delivered the goods for Genpro’s transportation awareness data warehouse. This was a complex task that required a timely and highly optimized solution because of the limited shelf life of this perishable data. The timeliness of the data in the new data warehouse provides Genpro with the additional detail and functionality that the cloud based solution they are currently using lacks. The Stylus Studio provided an easy way to design the transformation maps required for the data warehouse. The XML Pipeline Server’s highly scalable, streaming technology provided the speed, synchronizing, transformation to update the Data warehouse hourly.

Solution Quick Look:

• Synchronizing, mapping, and transforming XML data from a large cloud based data warehouse to a premise based SQL-Server database - hourly

• Stats: File imports from 80 Mb to 8 GB, the XML structure is deeply nested, down to 20 levels from the root

• 2.5 GB XML takes 8 minutes (1 GB / 3.2 Minutes) the result import creates 1,000,000 records in SQL Server
