Electronic Dynamometers

Dynamometers are used to measure force or torque. The device itself consists of an elastic element - the power unit and indicating device. Measured gain in power link causes a deformation which is through direct communication or transmission indicating devices. Dynamometers capable of measuring various efforts, from a fraction of a Newtonian to 1 MN (100 ton). Dynamometers differ on the principle of action and are divided into mechanical (lever or spring), electronic and hydraulic.

The following types of dynamometers:

Mechanical dynamometer.

This type dynamometers can be spring or lever. In the first type dynamometer torque or force is transmitted to the spring, which is compressed or stretched (depending on the direction of the force.) Impact force, which is proportional to the elastic deformation of the spring is recorded. Lever type dynamometer registers deformation force which deforms the lever.

Hydraulic dynamometer.

The principle of operation is based on the dynamometer, the elimination of the hydraulic cylinder of the measured fluid force. Under pressure forces the liquid penetrates through the tube to the recording device, and then registered.

Electric dynamometer.

It consists of an electrical load cell sensor, which is able to convert the impact force resulting from deformation into an electrical signal, and an additional sensor, whose task is to amplify an electrical signal from the first sensor and record it. In order to convert the force or torque to the deformation applied piezoelectric, inductive, vibratory frequency, strain gauge sensors and resistance. The sensor is deformed by the force, wherein the resistance bridge vary the currents. Electrical signal whose strength is directly proportional to the strain, as a result proportional to the force of impact. Objective is to strengthen the second sensor signal and record it for future processing.

Dynamometers in everyday life are used to measure the compressive force in the closing flaps automatic systems. It can be door trams, buses, metro, train cars and garage doors, door passenger or freight elevators, sliding on the roof hatches, car windows and more.

Company "Ellion Engineering" delivers different dynamometers to the clients.

Electronic dynamometers - modern high-precision measuring instrument is designed to work with such characteristics of materials, structures and mechanisms, such as dynamic and static compressive and tensile strength, as well as their derivatives, such as the moment of force. There are both universal device for measuring all types of loads, and specialized, which is used when dealing with any one type of effort.
