Where to Start Learning to Repair Computers

Most people learn in 3 ways: Doing, Reading, Watching/Listening.

Doing:

I recommend finding a full cheap BROKEN PC off eBay. I don't recommend getting a name brand one such as dell or hp, the reason is that sometimes there are special case structures and part layouts. It's best to practice with a more standard configuration. Standard configurations will have motherboard brands such as: Asus, Gigabyte, Biostar, Msi, and Intel. Taking apart a PC over and over will help getting used to problems that arise, such as spacing, wiring organization, which parts to put in first, etc.

Reading:

A+ Certification Study Guides are one of the best reading material for learning PC Repair. The Comptia A+ Certification is the certification for PC Repair Technicians. The study guides cover all the basics for PC repair, and will get you ready for more in depth knowledge that only comes from experience.
